Knoll honours Florence Knoll‘s enduring legacy as a trailblazing architect, interior planner, and furniture designer with the reissue of its iconic 1954 designs—the Model 31 Lounge Chair and Model 33 Settee. Renowned for their minimalist elegance and adaptability, these timeless pieces highlight its revolutionary approach to modern interiors and meticulous attention to proportion and detail.

The reissue celebrates Florence Knoll’s philosophy of functional simplicity, (described as the firm’s “meat and potatoes”), and reflects it lasting influence on design. Senior Vice President of Design Jonathan Olivares notes the enduring appeal of these rectilinear forms, emphasizing their timeless ability to blend textile and color in interiors.

Ideal for residential and commercial use, the reintroduced seating combines lightweight strength with style, supporting social engagement in any setting. Clients can now customize these pieces with an expanded textile range inclusive of Knoll Textiles in 1947 and offering modern aesthetics to suit contemporary spaces.
