Experiential “Kawaii Carnival” at Plaza Indonesia

Dressing for children has always been about more than simply getting dressed. It is a space for play, self-expression, and discovering the world through color, shape, and imagination. KENZO Kids brings this spirit to life with its Spring-Summer 2026Happy Sweet” collection, introduced by Bimbi Group through an immersive “Kawaii Carnival” and at the KENZO Kids store in Plaza Indonesia, Level 3.

Inspired by the joie de vivre of KENZO founder Kenzo Takada and the playful pop sensibility of Artistic Director, Nigo, the collection takes a vibrant yet wearable approach to everyday kidswear. Tangy neon shades meet soft pastels and natural tones across relaxed American streetwear silhouettes, while playful graphics of ice cream cones, bubble tea, and the signature “Bubble Tiger” add a nostalgic touch.

“We are thrilled to bring this extraordinarily cheerful collection to our discerning clientele in Indonesia,” said Jessica Wijaya, Director of Bimbi Group. “This activation is incredibly special for us, remembering that our Plaza Indonesia location is the first-ever KENZO Kids mono store in Southeast Asia. To honor this milestone, every single garment and accessory brought to this launch has been meticulously handpicked and specially curated by our team to perfectly align with Indonesia’s rapidly growing market for style and premium family lifestyles. By expanding this launch beyond the clothes racks into a physical, immersive carnival playground, we are creating unforgettable, fun experience for kids and parents.”

Created in collaboration with Miniapolis, the “Kawaii Carnival” extends the collection beyond the wardrobe, transforming the boutique into an immersive playground. Families can redeem special passes to ride the fully branded Kenzo Carousel, adorned with KENZO Kids flags, and the “Kenzo Express” Train.

Inside the boutique, a curated multi-sensory landscape features a series of interactive elements. The Panda Gelato Cart, created in collaboration with Bali-born Frutta Gelato, serves a custom-designed, Halal-certified “Kenzo Panda Gelato” complete with signature chocolate panda ears. The Kenzo Kids Gashapon invites customers to use custom tokens to win curated brand keychains, while Creative Exploration Corners feature KENZO Kids Paper Doll sets and Bubble Tiger Pop-Up Cards for children to explore.

The grand opening welcomed top-tier family influencers, including Danita Sigarlaki and Mikaila Patritz, who experienced the installation firsthand. Following the exclusive launch, the experiential installation, gift-with-purchase (GWP) programmes, including the highly coveted and ultra-limited Kenzo Kids Teddy Ice Cream Backpack, and interactive carnival rides will remain open to the general public until August 2, 2026.

With “Happy Sweet” KENZO Kids brings its Spring-Summer 2026 collection into a wider world of imagination, where playful fashion meets family experiences and celebrates the joy of dressing, discovering, and creating memories together.
