Launched in 2019 by Karimoku, Japan’s leading manufacturer of wooden furniture, with Danish design studio Norm Architects as design director and Japanese architect Keiji Ashizawa as designer, Karimoku Case presents its collection at Salone del Mobile.Milano 2024.

The collection included the latest items designed for CASE 9 “BELLUSTAR TOKYO” and CASE 10 “Azabu Hills Residence”, as well as specially selected items from the previous collections.

CASE 09 BELLUSTAR TOKYO: The new Items for Hotel Bellustar Tokyo
Collection of furniture designed for the urban luxury hotel Bellustar Tokyo (opened in 2023), which occupies the top three floors of the Tokyu Kabukicho Tower, in the Shinjuku district, where there is a sense of secluded serenity far from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The swivel lounge chair is not only functional but also sophisticated, as is typical of Norm Architects.

The chairs are installed in the restaurant area of hotel where visitors can spend quality time by the window with a panoramic sky view of Tokyo.
BAR STOOL DESIGNED BY KEIJI ASHIZAWA
Bar stools designed by Keiji Ashizawa for use in the main bar “Bar Bellustar” and the penthouse of BELLUSTAR TOKYO, designed to create an exclusive and unprecedented space. It was created following the design of the “A-DC03|Dining Chair” already in the collection. This stool is more spacious than previous ones and was designed to enhance communication by making it comfortable to sit on for long time.

CASE 10 AZABU HILLS RESIDENCE – The New items
The furniture collection designed for the luxury flat ‘Azabu Hills Residence’, located on a hill in Minami-Azabu in Tokyo, is characterized by the warm and cosy appearance of the ‘Keyaki Brown’ colour of Zelkova wood.

The dining chairs are characterized by rounded upholstered parts and a wooden frame with a slender shape bringing a light impression to the dining area.

SOFA DESIGNED BY KEIJI ASHIZAWA
The rounded sofa fully padded provides a relaxing seating comfort as if sitting on round pebbles. The color of the sofa’s textile is balanced with the “Keyaki Brown,” the new color of Karimoku Case collection.
