Before Milan Design Week unfolds, this is an early glimpse into the projects shaping the season—where design, atmosphere, and everyday rituals intersect.
Softness becomes a landscape at JOV’s Milan presentation. Known for its hand-tufted rugs, the Belgian brand approaches textile not as a surface, but as a spatial experience—one that invites the body to slow down and the eye to linger.

With In Clover. An Immersive Landscape of Softness, JOV places material at the center of a refined spatial dialogue. Developed in collaboration with Bieke Casteleyn, the installation unfolds as a quiet celebration of contemporary Belgian design, where tactility and composition move in balance.
The project explores the organic clover shape through a new collection of rugs that feel both gentle and precise. Rounded forms soften the space, while graphic clarity keeps the compositions grounded. Inspiration draws subtly from mid-century atmospheres, reinterpreting dots and squares through a contemporary lens that feels calm, considered, and current.

Color plays an essential role. Warm neutrals are layered with honey, tangerine, chocolate, and muted rust, creating a palette that feels earthy yet refined. Rather than dominating the room, these tones settle into it—enhancing depth, warmth, and visual rhythm through texture and repetition.
As visitors move through the installation, the richness of hand-tufted surfaces comes into focus. Material depth, tonal variation, and craftsmanship define the experience, allowing softness to become expressive rather than decorative. The rugs are not simply seen, but sensed—through scale, proximity, and the way they shape atmosphere.
In In Clover, JOV frames textile as a living element within space.
It is a reminder that softness can be structural, that craft can guide emotion, and that surfaces—when treated with care—carry a timeless, quiet power.
