Honoring 250 Years of Craftsmanship & Redefining Royal Copenhagen
As Royal Copenhagen marks 250 years of artistry and craftsmanship, the iconic Danish porcelain house is stepping into a new era under the creative direction of Jasper Toron Nielsen.

Jasper Toron Neilsen
Appointed in September 2023, Nielsen brings a cosmopolitan perspective shaped by over two decades in the luxury fashion industry, with senior design roles at Burberry, Givenchy, Brioni, and Tom Ford. Now back in his native Denmark after years abroad, he is reinterpreting Royal Copenhagen’s design legacy with a refined yet contemporary eye.

Creative Director Jasper Toron Neilsen, says, ‘‘We introduce glassware, table textiles, and candles to complete the table and bring the Royal Copenhagen universe full circle. Though glassware is a completely new addition, the elements that adorn it, such as snails and waves, are quintessentially Royal Copenhagen.”

Presented by Magran Living
Nielsen’s first projects have expanded the brand beyond porcelain to include glassware, table textiles, and candles, creating a fuller, more immersive dining narrative. These new additions are not departures but natural extensions of the brand’s heritage, infused with the same craftsmanship and storytelling that have defined Royal Copenhagen for centuries.

The anniversary collection exemplifies this approach. By reintroducing archival porcelain treasures and pairing them with fresh, modern designs, Royal Copenhagen strikes a delicate balance between honoring tradition and appealing to a new generation of design lovers. The result is a table setting that evokes both the grandeur of the 18th century and the elegance of contemporary living—where porcelain meets crystal, soft linens, and candlelight.

Two and a half centuries on, Royal Copenhagen remains a symbol of artistry, refinement, and togetherness. And with Jasper Toron Nielsen at the helm, it is poised to carry that legacy into the future—where heritage and innovation meet in timeless elegance.
