Amplifying the Raw Beauty of Marble
GREG NATALE AND SERAFINI LAUNCH THE ONDA CONSOLE
Last week during Milan Design Week 2024, Greg Natale joined Serafini at the opening event of their brand-new showroom in Milan to launch the Onda Console. Greg selected two Serafini marbels Paonazzo and Nero Pagoda, both characterised by their sophisticated black, white, and grey veining. When layered against one another, the contrasting stones produce an elegant visual effect that dramatises the juxtaposition between Onda’s fluid undulations and solid lines.

The Onda Console features a wave-like shape from multiple perspectives. Each of the console legs presents an alternative interpretation of the undulated design; one side is a solid column carved from a single block of stone, while the other offers a layered, two-dimensional view of the fluid pattern. From above, the scalloped-edge Onda design in Paonazza breaches to sit within the mirrored bullnose Pagoda top, amplifying the raw beauty of marble.

Greg first collaborated with Serafini a year ago to create the Onda Table, which debuted at Milan Design Week 2023. The two were displayed side by side at Serafini’s new Milan space for the duration of Milan Design Week 2024.

Onda is an original design by Greg Natale that finds soft mutability within the unforgiving heft of natural stone. Each adaptation of the Onda motif is a sculptural statement that champions the raw, textural beauty of organic elements.
