Deeply Resonating with Chinese Aesthetics
“Designing this space was like drawing a connection point between two worlds. We wanted to translate the strength of the artisan know-how and the unique character of Giovanni Raspini into an environment that would speak to the taste of the new Chinese public, without losing the Italian authenticity. Every element is a fragment of that story,” say Tiziano Vudafieri and Claudio Saverino.

Giovanni Raspini has opened its first flagship store in China at the Grand Gateway 66 shopping mall in Shanghai. Designed by Vudafieri-Saverino Partners, the store showcases a blend of Italian heritage and Chinese culture. The design emphasizes balance, with black as a main color symbolizing elegance and connecting with Asian aesthetics.

The interior features different niches to display jewelry, using natural materials that reflect Tuscany’s warmth and authenticity. Surfaces are smooth and dynamic, incorporating materials like stone, wood, and rose gold, representing the brand’s craftsmanship and commitment to quality.

A central table, reminiscent of a traditional workshop, invites visitors to explore the collections, surrounded by terracotta stools. The designe in collaboration with Joysliving. Above this table, a handmade silver installation inspired by the Animalier collection features a branch with parrots, symbolizing harmony and nature in both cultures.

A fabric-covered wall pays tribute to Shanghai Art Déco with an embroidered magnolia flower, while the VIP area provides a cozy space enhanced by hand-drawn illustrations showcasing the brand’s story and home collections.
