New showroom Giorgetti Spiga  – The Place: via della Spiga 31
April 18-23 / Press preview: April 17 h. 9 am-7pm

Focused on the future but with a knowing eye to its roots, Giorgetti crosses the finish line of 125 years in business, constantly at the ready to embrace different visions and stimuli and to interpret desires and wishes that require quality, care and tailored craftsmanship.

The company is preparing to celebrate this important anniversary with a calendar full of prestigious openings and international projects. Constantly evolving, the brand continues its unstoppable march forward, conquering new destinations and announcing, among this year’s developments, the simultaneous opening of two new monobrand spaces that will bring the Giorgetti lifestyle to the heart of the world’s preeminent design capitals: Milan and New York.

The Milan space will be the location where the new 2023 collection will be presented at the April Design Week.

Creating dialogue between craftsmanship and advanced manufacturing, the pieces in the 2023 collection interpret this philosophy, expressing in every tiny detail the profound meaning of design according to Giorgetti

Giorgetti also continues to interpret the transformation of domestic spaces into places that are increasingly flexible, designed for multiple uses, offering new products designed to satisfy different needs.

The new SKIRT Stool, born out of the brand’s renewed collaboration with the design duo known as M2atelier, and WOODY & MIA, the new collection of small tables and poufs designed by the Giorgetti Research Centre, were selected to offer a preview of the 2023 collection.

WOODY & MIA
side table/pouf + coffee table  – designed by Giorgetti R&D

Arising from the creative philosophy of Giorgetti R&D, WOODY & MIA embody two distinct narratives, which share and are linked by a common trait.

With a Canaletto walnut top, the MIA Coffee Table is made to be the focal point of the living room, a sculptural element with pure forms. It’s characterized by a solid base combined with an ample yet thin top with an expertly crafted curving inlet on one corner to perfectly nestle with the WOODY side table, the shapes of which are molded in wood.

Also available as an upholstered pouf in fabric or leather, Woody is characterized by its fullness and its sinuous, irregular silhouette, designed to flawlessly align, like two pieces of a puzzle, with Mia.

Its organic shape gives it undeniable personality, allowing it to live even on its own, completing and amplifying the functionality of the living room.

This project is the fruit of expert carpentry which the brand has cultivated and nurtured over its 125 years of history, which, like a signature, remains inscribed on the visible contouring of Mia, an unmistakable Giorgetti signifier.

SKIRT
stool  –  designed by M2Atelier

The new SKIRT Stool comes to life with the distinguishing hallmark of M2Atelier, the design studio of Marco Bonelli and Marijana Radovic. With refined creative aptitude, the duo has once again reinterpreted the Giorgetti lifestyle.

Based on a creative approach that nonetheless references the 1960s, Skirt is distinguished by its flowing shape, like a soft line drawn on a sheet of paper. In an elegant embrace, upholstered in leather, the full proportions at the back of the stool are inspired by the silhouette of a skirt, hence the name, while top stitching accompanies the edges.

At a fixed height, Skirt features a ring-shaped base in solid ash wood (offered in different finishes), referencing a rigid, durable hoop skirt to provide volume and structure.

Sustainability, ergonomics and practicality characterize the project. Thanks to the cantilevered structure, Skirt accompanies the body for an extremely comfortable seat.

Skirt is characterized by its clean, essential lines and by its surprising level of comfort”, confirm Marco Bonelli and Marijana Radovic.

This project, along with others by M2Atelier, will be the star of three new prestigious openings of locations of the Core Club in New York, Milan and San Francisco.

A design with a versatile soul that focuses on comfort and functionality, created to suit the needs of the hospitality industry while remaining ideal even as part of domestic spaces. It aims at creating an informal atmosphere, but one which also is sophisticated and with character.
