A Limited-Edition Collaboration
At the intersection of style and sustainability, two rising fashion voices—2 Mai from France and Fuguku from Indonesia—have collaborated to launch a limited-edition collaboration that bridges cultures, continents, and creative philosophies. The unveiling takes place today at 30 rue du Faubourg Saint-Antoine, Paris, offering a fresh perspective on eco-conscious luxury.

At the heart of the collab is The Shell Bag, reimagined through a shared lens of craftsmanship and environmental responsibility. The bag combines Fuguku’s signature form, made from recycled plastic, with a vivid new tie-dye treatment inspired by Indonesia’s jumputan and Japan’s bai shibori. Completing the piece is a detachable grosgrain strap in 2 Mai’s signature stripe—transforming the accessory into something truly hybrid, both in function and identity.

“Alice Rio-Derrey (Founder and Artistic Director of 2 Mai), directed us on what color she wants for the collection. So, we created a new green and blue hue with an abstract gradation,” says Savira Lavinia, CEO and founder of Fuguku.
The partnership began at Jakarta’s JF3 Fashion Festival in 2024, where the two brands connected through the PINTU Incubator, a France–Indonesia fashion mentoring platform. Both share a deep commitment to sustainability—2 Mai through its use of upcycled fabrics, Fuguku through its transformation of plastic waste into wearable art.

“I want this partnership to open doors not just for brand recognition, but for a deeper appreciation of stories, hands, and values behind each piece we create together,” Nonita, CMO of Fuguku.

The 2 Mai x Fuguku Shell Bag is available at the 2 Mai Paris pop-up on June 14–15, and online at 2maiparis.com the following week—a collectible piece, rooted in craft and designed for impact.
