A Multidisciplinary Exhibition Where Eight White Dresses Become Vessels of Self-Expression
STELLARISSA presents FREEDOM, a multidisciplinary exhibition at D Gallerie, Jakarta, that explores authenticity, femininity, and self-expression through an immersive dialogue between fashion, photography, film, jewelry, craftsmanship, and music.|

Conceived as a reflection on personal freedom, the exhibition celebrates the courage to remain unapologetically oneself in a world shaped by expectations and conformity. At its center are eight all-white dresses that reimagine femininity through instinctive expression and emotional honesty. Richly layered with organdy, lace, tulle, and duchess satin, the creations showcase exceptional handcraftsmanship, with some pieces requiring up to 250 hours to complete.

“My dresses serve as blank canvases for individuality, emotion, and self-expression.” — Stella Rissa

Presented by Magran Living
For Stella Rissa, each dress serves as a canvas—an artistic medium through which identity, vulnerability, and transformation are explored. Intricate material experimentation, handcrafted embellishments, and reconstructed lace compositions further underscore the designer’s commitment to artistry and innovation.

The exhibition extends beyond fashion through a series of artistic collaborations. Jewelry artist Galuh Anindita of MAHIJA interprets freedom through symbolic forms inspired by the swan, while photographer Indra Leonardi contributes a contemplative image from his ongoing 365 project. A highlight of the installation is FREEDOM, a short film created with actress Asmara Abigail and visual director Reuben Tourino. Inspired by the pioneering spirit of Isadora Duncan, the film explores liberation through movement, emotion, and instinctive expression.

The exhibition showcases an immersive environment where fashion transcends the conventional presentation of garments and becomes a collective meditation on identity, transformation, and the freedom to exist entirely on one’s own terms.
