The New Restaurant Designed by the Archer Humphryes Studio
Fratelli Boffi has created some furniture for the restaurant The Barbary Notting Hill in London, which recently opened in September 2024, marking the expansion of The Barbary brand from its original headquarters in Neal’s Yard, Covent Garden, to the Notting Hill district.

The new venue, located in a historic building at the intersection of Westbourne Grove and Chepstow Road, seats 75 people in an environment designed by the Archer Humphryes Studio, with whom Fratelli Boffi has a ten-year collaboration. The design approach privileges the use of natural materials, refined finishes and an intimate and welcoming atmosphere.

Fratelli Boffi has contributed to this project by creating a series of custom-made furniture, which meet the aesthetic and functional needs typical of the contract sector:
– Stools with swivel seats, made of solid mahogany wood, which combine strength and functionality. These stools are designed to withstand the intensive use typical of restaurant environments, without sacrificing guest comfort.
– Armchairs with ribbed backrests, designed with a structure in solid mahogany wood and covered in fireproof fabric, to ensure safety and durability. The detail of the Vienna straw backrest adds a natural and artisanal touch to the restaurant’s interiors.
– Table tops, also in solid mahogany wood, appreciated for their sturdiness and the intrinsic elegance of the material.

Fratelli Boffi has used selected materials to guarantee the quality and durability required by contract projects, where resistance to wear and compliance with safety regulations are essential. Mahogany, chosen for its strength and versatility, goes perfectly with Vienna fabrics and straw, elements that enrich the furnishings with warm and welcoming textures.

The collaboration with The Barbary Notting Hill represents an example of Fratelli Boffi’s ability to interpret the specific needs of the restaurant sector, providing tailor-made solutions that combine design, comfort and functionality.
