Celebrating bold Asian flavours, craftsmanship, and the joy of gathering.
Kemang has long been celebrated as one of Jakarta’s most dynamic dining neighbourhoods—where global palates, creative kitchens, and relaxed social gatherings naturally converge. That reputation is further enriched with the arrival of ÉPICE, opening alongside its sister venue, The CRÜ, and adding a fresh chapter to Kemang’s evolving culinary scene.

Officially opening on Friday, 5 December 2025, ÉPICE presents a dining experience that moves beyond comfort food into a spice-forward exploration of Asian flavours. Its name, drawn from the French word épice—meaning spice (rempah)—sets the tone for a menu defined by bold seasoning, aromatic depth, and layered complexity.

Rooted predominantly in Indonesian culinary traditions (70%) and complemented by Japanese and broader Asian influences (30%), the cuisine feels familiar yet thoughtfully elevated. The modern, inviting interior mirrors this sensibility, reflecting Asia’s layered cultures where tradition meets contemporary finesse.

A lively open-kitchen atmosphere animates the space, from grill and claypot stations to hotpots and a full bar. A notable highlight is SUPAISU, ÉPICE’s Japanese counter, serving freshly prepared sushi and sashimi crafted from premium ingredients.

The menu encourages diners to expect the unexpected. Signature dishes include the addictive Fried Corn Ribs, the dramatic Dinosaur Beef Ribs with Toasted Rice Dressing, and the Bamboo Chicken Bulu Nangko, served directly from bamboo as a nod to traditional cooking methods. Seafood is equally compelling, particularly the Gurame Hotplate with Singapore Chilli Sauce, where bold flavours meet theatrical presentation.

Several dishes arrive with live stirring at the table, notably the Sizzling Fried Rice with Chicken or Salty Fish, releasing aroma and adding an element of culinary theatre. To conclude, the Fermented Cassava Fritter offers a comforting yet distinctive finale.

Open daily from 11.30 onwards, ÉPICE is conceived as a place of gathering—from casual lunches to convivial dinners and late-night cocktails. Warm, energetic, and generous in spirit, it stands as a compelling new destination that celebrates spice, culture, and the pleasure of dining together.
