Hand Crafted from Recycled Aluminum – Made in Hanover, Pennsylvania
Designed by Naoto Fukasawa for Emeco, the ZaZa bench embraces the beauty of restraint. Familiar, calm, and understated, the bench is conceived to blend effortlessly into any environment while expressing the essence of purposeful design.

Handcrafted from recycled aluminum in Hanover, Pennsylvania, ZaZa is produced using Emeco’s signature 77-step manufacturing process—an artisanal technique refined since 1944. The result is a bench that is remarkably lightweight, exceptionally durable, and designed to withstand generations of indoor and outdoor use. Reflecting Emeco’s commitment to longevity, every ZaZa bench is guaranteed for life.

The architectural shape of ZaZa allows its form to emerge naturally from the material and the manufacturing process. Constructed from square aluminum tubes and sheet metal that are bent and welded to strengthen the structure, the bench reflects Emeco’s longstanding philosophy of honest craftsmanship.

As Naoto Fukasawa explains, “Rather than ZaZa being intentionally designed into a particular form, it could be said that the method naturally gives rise to the simple shape of the bench. Anyone who sees ZaZa would have little doubt that this is the inevitable form of Emeco.”

With its quiet clarity, sustainable construction, and enduring functionality, ZaZa demonstrates how thoughtful craftsmanship can create timeless design without unnecessary embellishment. The bench will be available beginning in September 2026.
