Thalia draws from Greek mythology, bringing Euryale and Bacco to life through the sculptural language of Elena Salmistraro. Part of the New Collection 2026, the two masks unfold through expressive forms, layered textures, and a considered interplay of craftsmanship and material.
EURYALE
Less frequently told of than her sister Medusa yet equally fierce, Euryale embodies the choral dimension of Greek tragedy. Deep inlays and layered volumes heighten the mask’s expressiveness, while sharp shadows and engraved surfaces capture the light. The natural veins of the stone become part of the narrative, resembling scars or memories embedded in the face.

BACCO
The god of intoxication and metamorphosis, Bacco becomes movement crystallized in stone. Sculpted vines and leaves cross the face like a theatrical bas-relief, while chromatic inlays meet three-dimensional textures to create a surface that seems almost to pulse. Soft lines contrast with the solidity of marble, creating a striking tension between vitality and stillness.

Across both masks, Rosso Diaspro, Grigio Tunisi, Bianco Avorio, Rosalia, and Pietra Pece are combined with a metal structure. The result brings together material, texture, and myth in a language that moves between sculpture and contemporary design.
Euryale measures 60 × H70 × 3+2 cm, while Bacco measures 62.5 × H69 × 3+2 cm. Both are designed by Elena Salmistraro.
