New spaces in Beijing and Shanghai bring the Italian lightmaker’s poetic vision east
Italian lighting house Davide Groppi extends its quiet influence into China with the opening of two new spaces in Beijing and Shanghai — a significant step in the brand’s ongoing international journey.

Both locations embody Groppi’s signature language: purity of form, suspended compositions, and the subtle theatre of light. Stripped of ornament, each piece becomes an expression of balance and modernity — a dialogue between design and emotion.

In Shanghai, a newly inaugurated exhibition area within the Dexelance headquarters further strengthens the brand’s local presence. A dedicated team now supports professionals and projects across China, reinforcing Groppi’s commitment to both craftsmanship and collaboration.

These new “Spaces” serve not only as showrooms but as cultural hubs — places for dialogue, experimentation, and discovery. Architects and designers can explore iconic collections such as Moon, Sampei, Infinito, and TeTaTeT, all displayed in atmospheres where light remains the true protagonist.

“The opening of these new Spaces in China represents a decisive step to strengthen our ties with the market and our presence on the global design scene,” notes Davide Groppi, CEO and Creative Director.

Shanghai
With Beijing and Shanghai now aglow, Groppi continues to weave his narrative of light as poetry — a universal language of beauty without borders.
