Lightweight and Free Standing Rechargeable Outdoor Lantern
Clara is our latest outdoor lantern conceived by Chiara Caberlon in collaboration with Marco Forbicioni, both inspired by the idea of ”bringing light with you, wherever you go”.
Chiara Caberlon
Clara represents a refined reinterpretation of the classic lantern, in appearance and functionality, an expression of the archi-decorative code that distinguishes the brand, recognised internationally as the “couturier of light”.
Featuring a functional ring in the upper part of the lamp, available in matt white lacquered or bronze painted versions, the lamp can be hung or moved easily. The product is characterised by the original diffuser made of resin with a Vienna straw effect, a material usually associated with indoor seating typical of the Bauhaus period.

Designed to adapt to every need, Clara has a body with a rechargeable battery via USB-C port, with a life of up to 8 hours. In the medium and large versions, the light source can be removed, using the same handle as the structure, thus transforming it into a handy, free-standing and lightweight portable torch.
Clara‘s lighting options are versatile, dynamic and adapt to a wide variety of environments and situations, ensuring a uniform light distribution. This lantern therefore becomes the protagonist of welcoming and evocative atmospheres in gardens, terraces, indoor and outdoor dining and living spaces, of private residences, resorts, hotels and restaurants.

“Tackling the project of a lighting product intended for outdoor use and capable of defining space through a refraction process was very interesting and challenging. A material that faithfully replicates the appearance of Vienna straw was the inspiration behind the diffuser concept. The Contardi research and development team then made its feasibility possible, identifying the material and developing the production and manufacturing technique to make Clara an object suitable for the outdoors.“ Chiara Caberlon – designer
With Clara, Contardi Lighting expands its offer and confirms its strong commitment to illuminating outdoor living spaces. Thanks to the use of cutting-edge technologies and carefully selected materials, each Contardi Lighting outdoor product meets the highest standards required by the market, has IP65 certification for waterproofing, obtained through the anti-corrosion treatment of metals by cataphoresis.

“I consider Clara a basic, simple, timeless, and yet very original object. I like its portability, the idea that it can be hung from a tree and become a decorative element, or placed on the ground to illuminate and evocatively mark a path. I find that Clara is a combination of light, architecture, interiors and technology, which we don’t go anywhere without.” Chiara Caberlon – designer
