A Manifesto of Freedom Designed by García Cumini for Cesar
In today’s homes, the kitchen is no longer a space defined by walls or routines. It has become a place where moments unfold naturally—where cooking, gathering, and living blend into one continuous experience. Responding to this shift, Cesar introduces Unit Pocket, a kitchen system shaped by freedom, adaptability, and human connection.

Designed by García Cumini, Unit Pocket evolves from the original Unit system into an open, modular project that reflects the way people live today. Whether arranged as a wall composition, a central island, or a freestanding element, the system adapts fluidly to different spaces and lifestyles, allowing the kitchen to feel less fixed and more intuitive.

In its freestanding version, Unit Pocket reveals a distinctly architectural character. Rather than enclosing or separating rooms, it gently defines them—creating visual continuity while offering subtle spatial structure. The kitchen becomes part of the living environment, encouraging interaction and movement without disrupting the flow of the home.

This openness is supported by a self-supporting structure with a patented, invisible internal reinforcement. Quietly concealed, the technology ensures stability while preserving visual lightness. Engineering steps back, allowing material quality, proportion, and form to take center stage—true to Cesar’s refined design language.

For García Cumini, the kitchen represents more than function. It is a symbolic place of encounter—a space where daily rituals take shape and where people naturally return:
“Freedom is the most important value. Freedom to grow, to adapt, to discover new realities and new people. Freedom to imagine—even oneself. Technology today supports me in this search. Yet what we truly need in order to be free is a fixed point: a nucleus of warmth around which we can move. Because the journey, in the end, is always a return home.”

Through this perspective, Unit Pocket becomes the emotional anchor of the home—open yet grounded, flexible yet familiar. Designed to foster connection and warmth, it supports everyday rituals and shared moments, reaffirming Cesar’s vision of the kitchen as the true heart of contemporary living.
