Presented at Salone del Mobile.Milano 2026, Cattelan Italia unveils a new chapter for Ruby: a sofa designed by Castello Lagravinese Studio that elevates the collection into a fully articulated seating system for refined residential and contract interiors alike.

Evolving from the original armchair, Ruby translates its signature language into a broader, more architectural presence. Soft, sculpted curves and generous volumes define the silhouette, while the extra-large seat—accented by precise visible stitching—flows seamlessly into a gently embracing backrest that extends into the armrests. The gesture is fluid, confident, and unmistakably cohesive.

A solid wooden frame, echoing Scandinavian sensibilities, anchors the design with warmth and structural integrity, enveloping high-density foam cushions in a cocooning embrace. Conceived for hotel lobbies, executive spaces, and contemporary lounges, the Ruby sofa fuses sartorial detailing with contract-grade performance—forming, together with the armchair, a harmonious duo defined by material continuity, formal clarity, and enduring Italian elegance.
