Curves that Soften Structure, Shaping a More Fluid Way of Living
Known for its refined approach to contemporary living, Cattelan Italia has long established a global presence—including in Indonesia through its official distributor, Melandas Indonesia. At Salone del Mobile.Milano 2026, the Italian brand continues this trajectory with the evolution of Craig, a modular sofa system designed by Maurizio Manzoni.

Introduced as a New Design for 2026, the latest curvy configuration brings a softer, more fluid dimension—expanding Craig’s compositional language while responding to increasingly open, dynamic ways of living. Defined by its rounded, sinuous silhouettes, the system has always embraced versatility, shifting effortlessly between linear, corner, and chaise longue arrangements. With the addition of the curved module, the sofa moves away from rigid alignments, allowing it to float more naturally within the space.
Its enveloping, continuous backrest—designed to accommodate cushions within a cohesive, three-dimensional volume—now curves more generously, subtly shaping the surrounding environment while enhancing both comfort and visual flow.

At the same time, the introduction of curvature brings a more relaxed, social dimension to the system. By softening symmetry, Craig encourages more fluid configurations and face-to-face interaction, making it particularly suited to contemporary living spaces where conversation and connection take centre stage.
The armrest remains a defining feature, preserving the sofa’s strong identity while reinforcing the continuity of its silhouette.

In open-plan interiors, the curved module also acts as a quiet spatial mediator—defining zones without the need for partitions, allowing architecture and furniture to exist in a more harmonious dialogue.
More than a stylistic evolution, this new configuration reflects a thoughtful approach—one that embraces versatility, contemporary ways of living, and a closer dialogue with domestic architecture.
