The launch of three new limited-edition: Green, Orange and White
Milan, September 2025 — Gufram and The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts continue their creative partnership with a bold new chapter: three fresh iterations of Andy’s Cactus®, the irreverent domestic sculpture that has become a touchstone of radical design.

The limited-edition release introduces Andy’s Green Cactus®, Andy’s Orange Cactus®, and Andy’s White Cactus®, each produced in only 99 pieces. These new hues follow the 2022 debut of blue, pink, and yellow versions, expanding the collection with colors that echo Andy Warhol’s late-career “fright wig” self-portrait series. The result is an object that fuses radical Italian design with Warhol’s pop sensibility—serial yet always singular.

Presented by LeChateau Living
First conceived in 1972 by Guido Drocco and Franco Mello, CACTUS® has long challenged the conventions of furniture. Standing at human scale, with four outstretched arms and over 2,000 textured nodes, the piece is crafted from soft polyurethane and finished with Guflac®, Gufram’s patented technique that preserves visual solidity while offering an unexpectedly supple touch.

“Repeating something that worked is always intriguing—especially when the inspiration comes from Andy Warhol, the master of creative repetition. With these three new color variations of Andy’s Cactus®, we continue to explore the art of seriality, just as he did: the same subject, new colors, and each time a one-of-a-kind piece. It’s a paradox we love: repetition that gives rise to originality,” says Charley Vezza of Gufram.

For the Andy Warhol Foundation, the collaboration also underscores a mission that extends beyond design. It celebrates the enduring power of creative freedom.
