Last week, Roemah Koffie Gunawarman opened its doors to a select circle of design professionals for an intimate afternoon of connection and discovery. In collaboration with Sugar & Cream, the event welcomed 24 designers from Jakarta and one from Bandung—a vibrant mix of architects and interior visionaries—for a moment to pause, recharge, and reconnect over the shared appreciation of craft and creativity.

Hosted at the newly opened Roemah Koffie on Gunawarman No. 49, the event unfolded as a sensory journey. Guests were treated to an exclusive brewing and coffee-tasting session, a latte art demo by the competition winner, and a guided tasting of Roemah Koffie’s signature drinks and food pairings. Each experience was a reflection of the brand’s dedication to both artistry and hospitality.

Felix T J, CEO of Roemah Koffie, personally greeted the guests with warmth and insight, sharing the story behind the brand and its evolution—from a passion for exceptional coffee to a broader vision of community and creativity. He also offered an exciting glimpse into Roemah Koffie’s upcoming expansion plans, including potential collaborations that invite designers to take part in shaping the next concept of the brand.

As described on its website, the Gunawarman location redefines the coffeehouse—a stylish, dynamic space where expertly brewed coffee meets innovative cocktails, where design and flavor merge in equal measure.

By late afternoon, the gathering had become more than an event—it was a quiet celebration of community and creativity, steeped in the shared pleasure of good design and great coffee. After all the best ideas often begin over a perfectly brewed cup.
