A Surrealist Ode to American Womanhood
There was a sense of nostalgia drifting through New York’s historic Hall of Records as alice + olivia unveiled its Spring 2026 collection. Romantic yet theatrical, the presentation unfolded as a surrealist reflection on American womanhood — shaped by history, individuality, resilience, and style.

Presented ahead of the United States’ 250th anniversary, the collection serves as a tribute to generations of women who have helped shape culture, fashion, and identity across time. “In 2026, as we honor the 250th anniversary of the United States, we celebrate the American woman,” says Stacey Bendet, Founder, Creative Director, and CEO of alice + olivia. “A woman who has shaped our culture, inspired our art, defined our fashion, and moved through history with strength and style. This collection is a love letter to her.”

The 45-look lineup reimagines classic American sportswear through a refined yet playful lens. Tailored suiting appears elongated and relaxed, styled with crisp shirting and undone ties, while collegiate knits, polos, pleated minis, baggy denim, and dramatic floor-length skirts bring youthful energy throughout the collection. A palette of poppy red, emerald green, navy, pale pink, and yellow moves between bold primary tones and softer pastels, while intricate jacquards, burnout chiffons, lace, layered organza, embroidery, sequins, and beadwork add depth, texture, and a sense of craftsmanship to each look.

Presented by Magran Living

Eveningwear moves through different eras of American glamour, from sweeping Gilded Age-inspired ballgowns to tuxedo mini dresses and corseted jersey silhouettes reminiscent of 1950s screen sirens, creating a dialogue between heritage and contemporary femininity.

The presentation itself becomes part of the storytelling. Inside the Hall of Records, immersive installations merge fashion with Americana and pop culture references. Guests are welcomed by a towering interpretation of the Statue of Liberty dressed in a butterfly-and-rose printed gown, while a reimagined Constitution titled We the Women and an abstract American flag mural reinforce themes of resilience, creativity, and collective identity.

Nostalgic yet modern, alice + olivia Spring 2026 reimagines American femininity through a celebration of heritage, glamour, and individuality.
