Each year, Salone del Mobile.Milano serves as a gala showcase for any brand to show the world of its latest collection. This year, bespoke brand from Austria, Wittmann has invited its visitors to the “HOUSE OF WITTMANN” at Salone 2024.

Watch here “House of Wittmann” @Salone del Mobile.Milano 2024:
The booth, designed by Arthur Arbesser and Alice Wittmann, was conceptualized as the home of an art and design enthusiast. A home showing the value of distinctive design and masterful craftsmanship, where art and culture, classic and contemporary design engage in sophisticated dialogues. The “HOUSE OF WITTMANN” showcased the essence of the Austrian manufactory: ‘the uniquely elegant eclecticism wonderfully uniting the style of classics such as from Hoffmann and Spalt with the designs of contemporary design partners of Wittmann’.

In one of the outward presentation areas, the CONSTANZE Sofa by Johannes Spalt in a classy turquoise leather tone set the stage for Arthur Arbesser’s new folding screen TACT. Right next to this, the BUN series by young Milanese designer Federica Biasi impressed with a lounge chair and a sofa in front of a reduced black and white pattern, inspired by the design language of the Viennese Secession and the square Wittmann logo. In a third area, the VUELTA Modular Sofa with the new line extension of corner table elements was embedded in a homogenous context of this year’s Pantone color.

Inside the booth, curtains created dynamic and flexible environments – each tastefully staged in its own right. Lemon trees framed the outdoor area staging the PARADISE BIRD Outdoor series by Luca Nichetto. A few steps away, an inviting lounge corner with various armchairs, side tables and stools, all in appealing pastel tones, invited for a restful stay. Center stage, the ADÉLE Table and the JOSEPH Club Chairs by Philippe Nigro created a place for communication and exchange, while visitors could experience the feel of the wood, fabrics, leathers and the exceptional quilting and carpentry works.

Opposite of the seating group, a KUBUS Sofa by Josef Hoffmann pointed to the much-quoted foundation of Wittmann‘s new designs in particular. Keeping the dialogue between the design generations alive was objective and aspiration of the “HOUSE OF WITTMANN” presentation. This was staged to perfection with the idea of an Art Nouveau fireplace printed on fabric, which created the framework for the dialogue between Josef Hoffmann’s SITZMASCHINE and the new BUN design by Federica Biasi.

One room was dedicated exclusively to the extended MORTON Chair series by Sebastian Herkner – chair, fine dining chair and compact lounge chair were put on display in a wide variety of fabric and leather versions. The stylish conclusion to the tour was the newly re-edited ATRIUM Sofa – a Wittmann design from the 1970s that could not be more contemporary. In the bedroom, the versatility of Arthur Arbesser’s TACT Folding Screen was clearly evident – executed in the lively and colorful FLOWERS fabric from Wittmann’s exclusive ICONA fabric collection.
