A Toast to Jakarta’s Vibrant Bar Scene
Jakarta’s nightlife scene is about to get a little more exciting. This November, cocktail lovers can look forward to creative drinks, international bar collaborations, good food, and plenty of reasons to stay out a little longer. Introducing Jakarta Cocktail Week (JCW) 2026, Indonesia’s first city-wide consumer-facing cocktail festival, taking place from 24 to 28 November.

Nautilus Bar
Bringing together more than 20 participating Jakarta bars and around 20 international guest bars from nine Asian countries and territories, JCW will turn the city into a meeting point for cocktail enthusiasts, hospitality professionals, and curious drinkers. The inaugural festival expects to welcome more than 3,500 attendees, with over 10,000 cocktails set to be served throughout the week.

TGT
Rather than keeping the excitement in one venue, JCW invites guests to discover Jakarta one bar at a time. Bartenders from Hong Kong, China, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, South Korea, and Vietnam will take over local bars for special guest shifts from 25 to 28 November. Expect new flavour combinations, different bartending styles, and the chance to experience some of Asia’s exciting cocktail talents without leaving Jakarta.

As Stefanie Wijono, JCW Organising Committee Member and Deputy Marketing & PR Director of The Union Group, shares,
“Jakarta has developed an incredibly exciting cocktail scene, with talented bartenders and bars that deserve greater international recognition. We believe this is the right moment to bring the industry together and create something that represents Jakarta as a whole.”

The festivities kick off on 24 November at The Gunawarman, featuring Bangkok-based bartenders Dicky Hartono of Firefly, Ryan Dela Vega of Aqua Bar, and Niks Anuman of G.O.D. International guest shifts continue across the city over the following evenings, while Nightcaps at Jaya Pub, Bottom Parlour, and Duckdown Bar on 25, 26, and 27 November respectively offer the perfect excuse to keep the night going.

Unfinished Project
One highlight to circle on the calendar is the Cocktail Village on Friday, 27 November, at Sudirman Hall, Sequis Tower, SCBD. This free-entry festival brings cocktails, food, music, and entertainment together under one roof. Expect brand booths serving cocktails by some of Indonesia’s finest bars, alongside curated food selections from local F&B partners. It’s the perfect setting to discover new flavours, grab a bite, and enjoy the festive atmosphere.

Good Friends Club
For those curious about the craft behind the drinks, JCW will also host masterclasses led by industry figures such as Indra Kantono of Singapore’s Jigger & Pony and Jon Lee of Kuala Lumpur’s Penrose. Panel discussions moderated by Ray Janson will also bring fresh perspectives to the evolving cocktail scene.

A bar has no name
There’s a meaningful side to the celebration, too. One hundred per cent of the profits from sales at the Cocktail Village’s Star Bar will go to a charity supporting communities affected by the Kalimantan forest fires. The bar will feature special guest shifts from Hong Kong’s Penicillin and Bar Leone, The World’s Best Bar 2026, alongside prominent Indonesian bartenders.

RAW ATELIER | Bar cham | Bar us | Enigma mansion
The celebrations begin even before the official opening. From 1 to 28 November, participating bars will serve at least one special Road to JCW cocktail, offering an early taste of what’s to come.

Alice
More than just a reason to raise a glass, Jakarta Cocktail Week celebrates the people and creativity behind the bar while putting the city on the map as an exciting cocktail destination in Southeast Asia.

The cocktail group
Whether you’re a cocktail enthusiast, a curious foodie, or simply looking for a fresh way to experience Jakarta after dark, this November celebration is worth adding to your calendar. Cheers to that!
