Kettal’s new London flagship unfolds as a living dialogue between Eames, architecture and contemporary design.

Marking 60 years of design, Kettal opens Paulton House, its new 600-square-metre London flagship at 8 Shepherdess Walk, Shoreditch, during Clerkenwell Design Week 2026. Conceived as more than a showroom, the space becomes a platform where furniture, architecture and design culture converge through installations, conversations and creative exchange.

At its centre is the Eames Pavilion System, developed by Kettal x the Eames Office. Inspired by the experimental architectural thinking of Charles and Ray Eames, the modular system explores how furniture can move beyond the object to become part of the architecture itself. The installation is accompanied by The Eames Houses, featuring architectural plans, research material and a scale model of Case Study House No. 8.

The programme continues with the launch of The Eames Houses, the new Phaidon publication by Eckart Maise, Board Director of the Charles & Ray Eames Foundation. Drawing on extensive archival research, the book offers the first comprehensive overview of the Eameses’ realised, unrealised and previously unseen residential projects.

Contemporary perspectives enter the conversation through “Because Sit Happens,” a special session with Jay Osgerby, exploring creative process, collaboration and the evolving relationship between furniture, architecture and workplace design.

Alongside the cultural programme, Paulton House presents Kettal’s latest collaborations, including AREA by Foster + Partners Industrial Design, U-Type by Barber Osgerby, ATLANTIC by Jasper Morrison, ALIZE by Vincent Van Duysen, GROSSO by Patricia Urquiola and SHOGUN by Verner Panton, alongside new outdoor and workplace collections.

With Paulton House, Kettal proposes a new model for the showroom: not simply a destination for products, but a living environment for ideas—where architectural thinking, furniture design, cultural history and contemporary creativity meet.

As Alexis Gouilly-Frossard, Kettal’s CEO, puts it, the ambition is to create “a London platform where furniture, architecture, design culture and creative dialogue can coexist.”

At 60, Kettal is using its history as a foundation for the next conversation about how we inhabit space.
