Oasis of Now

At Milan Design Week 2026, Cassina extended its vision of contemporary living beyond the boundaries of the home with Oasis of Now—a poetic exploration of outdoor living and lighting design that celebrates tranquillity, craftsmanship, and the beauty of slowing down.

2026 Outdoor Collection – Vidalenta – Patricia Urquiola

The 2026 Outdoor Collection transforms open-air spaces into refined sanctuaries where comfort and elegance coexist. Curated by Patricia Urquiola, the collection introduces Vidalenta, a versatile seating and dining system distinguished by the dialogue between its rigorous tubular metal structure and generously upholstered forms. Designed to encourage informal hospitality, it embodies Cassina’s philosophy of effortless sophistication.

2026 Outdoor Collection – Eloro Outdoor – Rodolfo Dordoni Dordoni Studio | Novetrenta Outdoor – Vico Magistretti

Further blurring the distinction between indoor and outdoor living, Cassina reinterprets iconic designs for open-air settings, including Rodolfo Dordoni’s Eloro Outdoor and historic masterpieces such as Gaetano Pesce’s Dalila and Vico Magistretti’s Novetrenta Outdoor. New finishes for Afra & Tobia Scarpa’s Carlotta collection, an expanded Esosoft Outdoor system by Antonio Citterio, alongside fresh textiles, rugs, and lighting solutions, enrich the collection with a renewed sense of versatility and character.

Lighting takes centre stage as an artistic expression of material intelligence. Among the highlights is Samambu by Neri & Hu, a sculptural lighting system inspired by the serene rhythm of bamboo forests. Slender metal stems crowned with opal glass diffusers create a delicate choreography of light, evoking nature’s quiet beauty.

Equally captivating is Fluid Joinery Light by Linde Freya Tangelder, a luminous sculpture crafted from hand-blown layered glass. Balancing transparency and solidity, the piece transforms light into a tactile, atmospheric presence, reflecting Cassina’s commitment to exceptional craftsmanship and material innovation.

The collection also expands Dot Pattern Light, the lighting project derived from the graphic legacy of Charles and Ray Eames. Its new vertical suspension version translates an unproduced Eames concept into a striking architectural element, bringing rhythm and sculptural presence to contemporary interiors. Completing the presentation is Accelsa, Angelo Mangiarotti’s iconic lamp, now reimagined as a suspended lighting piece for the Karakter x Cassina collection.

The Outdoor and Lighting collections reinforce The Cassina Perspective 2026: a holistic vision where design, architecture, craftsmanship, and materiality converge to create spaces of serenity, beauty, and meaningful.
