A softer sensibility shapes mdf italia’s latest evolution, bringing warmth, materiality, and a more intimate sense of domesticity into focus. Presented at Salone del Mobile.Milano 2026, the Italian furniture brand brings this renewed vision to life through an immersive environment where architecture, atmosphere, and new design collaborations come together with understated refinement.

Rather than treating furniture as standalone objects, mdf italia approaches design as part of a broader living environment. Conceived as an immersive domestic landscape, the presentation layers architecture, materiality, and atmosphere through tactile surfaces and carefully curated details—from wooden boiserie and lime-based plaster walls to sculptural ceramics, contemporary lighting, and custom-made objects. The result is an elevated yet understated setting, where warmth, comfort, and sensory richness set the tone for a new series of collaborations with international designers.

Among the key launches is SK Table by Studio Klass, a collection shaped by the architectural repetition of two interconnected arches that define its structure. Crafted in aluminium and available with oak, marble, or cast glass tops, the design introduces a sculptural presence while maintaining the visual lightness synonymous with mdf italia’s aesthetic.

Comfort takes centre stage with Pat by Jean Marie Massaud, a fully upholstered seating collection comprising a chair, armchair, and stool. Defined by slender proportions and subtle detailing, the collection introduces a dynamic seating experience through a discreetly integrated backrest mechanism that moves naturally with the body, balancing formal clarity with ergonomic comfort.

Elsewhere, Clayer by NICHETTO® transforms ceramic craftsmanship into a sculptural furniture object. Characterised by richly textured surfaces and crystallised glazes, the coffee table collection embraces tonal variations and material depth, giving each piece an individual character rooted in artisanal tradition.

Studio Mist-o introduces Otto, a cabinet collection developed around a single compositional principle: eight millimetres. This precise dimension informs both the profile and visual rhythm of the piece, resulting in a storage system defined by restraint, clarity, and architectural balance. Through lacquered finishes and natural wood interiors, Otto reflects mdf italia’s ongoing dialogue between simplicity and sophistication.

Meanwhile, Equilibrium Console by Guglielmo Poletti transitions from limited-edition collectible design into industrial production while preserving the purity of its original concept. Defined by slender steel profiles and a tension-based structure, the console appears almost suspended in space, embodying a refined balance between structural research and visual lightness.

Alongside these introductions, several of mdf italia’s existing collections continue to evolve. Archie armchair by Yabu Pushelberg expands its inviting silhouette, while Goom by Jean Marie Massaud and Cosy by Francesco Rota introduce new modular possibilities suited to increasingly diverse residential and hospitality settings. The Tense Material collection by Piergiorgio and Michele Cazzaniga also welcomes Coccioperla, a finish blending mortar, aggregates, and crushed mother-of-pearl to create luminous, tactile surfaces.

Through its latest presentation, mdf italia offers more than a preview of new furniture. Instead, it presents a quieter, warmer vision of contemporary living—one shaped not only by precision and form, but by atmosphere, material presence, and the evolving rituals of everyday life.
