Design in Dialogue

As contemporary living continues to evolve beyond functionality, Architecture of Objects emerges as Bonaldo’s exploration of how furniture can shape not only interiors, but also the way people experience and interact with a space. Presented as a new chapter in the brand’s design journey, the installation brings together architecture, materiality, and objects within a cohesive spatial narrative.

Curated by Massimo Castagna, the stand unfolds as a sophisticated three-dimensional landscape where volumes, surfaces, and proportions interact in a unified environment. Through a careful balance of rhythm, perspective, and materiality, the presentation transforms the setting into an immersive experience, allowing each piece to contribute to a broader architectural dialogue.

Collection 26 brings together both ongoing and new collaborations with international designers including Massimo Castagna, Gabriele and Oscar Buratti, Alain Gilles, Fabrice Berrux, Moritz Gründel, Spazioameno, and Mauro Lipparini. Together, these collaborations expand Bonaldo’s design language across living, dining, and night environments while maintaining a shared visual conversation between objects and their surroundings.

Within the dining area, tables emerge as focal points through strong visual presence and calibrated asymmetry, a characteristic that has become part of Bonaldo’s design identity. Living spaces unfold through generous sofa systems and sculptural sideboards accompanied by organically shaped coffee tables inspired by natural forms, while the night area continues this exploration through pieces designed to integrate effortlessly into everyday living.

At the heart of Collection 26 lies materiality, approached not simply as a finishing detail but as a structural element of design itself. Ceramics, marbles, woods, glass, metals, concrete finishes, fabrics, and leather come together to create a rich sensory language. Warm earthy tones ranging from browns and soft greys to burnt shades and ivory further shape depth and atmosphere, allowing light and texture to define the character of each environment.

Marking its 90th anniversary this year, Bonaldo continues to expand its vision beyond the exhibition setting with the opening of its first Flagship Store in Milan, extending the brand’s philosophy into a more immersive and experiential environment. As Alberto Bonaldo, the company’s Managing Director, notes, today design increasingly calls for a “systemic vision,” where sensory quality, flexibility, and evolving lifestyles shape the way contemporary spaces are experienced.

Founded in 1936 and now present across 99 countries, Bonaldo continues to evolve through an approach that balances craftsmanship, innovation, and an evolving understanding of contemporary living.
