Mediterranean Elegance Unfolds

In the heart of the Gulf of Sorrento rises Hotel Ara Maris, a new high-end hospitality destination that interprets Mediterranean elegance through a contemporary lens, where light, materials, and landscape interact in perfect balance. Within this setting, Listone Giordano contributes to the interiors with the selection of 140 Cannella from the Classica Michelangelo line in matte oak, a shade inspired by the wood of boats and finished with natural oil.
  

The flooring becomes a defining element of the project, evoking the nautical world and coastal tradition through a sophisticated and contemporary interpretation. Warm oak tones and a restrained neutral palette allow the material’s expressive strength to emerge, enhancing natural light while amplifying a sense of harmony and lightness throughout the spaces. Finished with natural oil, the wood reveals a deeper chromatic richness and tactile authenticity, contributing to a refined sensory experience for guests.

The artistic direction takes into account several defining elements: the location, the inner garden, the panoramic rooftop, and the sweeping views over the Gulf, all guided by a strong focus on light and color. In collaboration with the Nicola Pedana Gallery, Ara Maris also embraces art through temporary exhibitions, with Luigi Mainolfi and Marco Gastini among the first artists to be featured.

Outdoor spaces create a seamless continuity between architecture and landscape. A 2,000-square-meter garden filled with citrus trees, palm trees, and a monumental magnolia surrounds an elliptical swimming pool over 30 meters long, framed by natural materials and contemporary furnishings.

Through this project, Sorrento’s identity is reinterpreted in a contemporary key, evoking the traditions of Campania through color and material choices while reinforcing Listone Giordano’s presence in the world of high-end hospitality.
