Fornasetti x cc-tapis unveils a collaborative collection that reinterprets archival motifs through a material and contemporary lens. Bringing together Fornasetti’s dreamlike visual language—rich in illusion, irony, and narrative—with cc-tapis’ experimental approach to rugs, the project positions each piece as both functional object and collectible design.

Conceived as a dialogue between image and texture, the rugs read like theatrical compositions. Trompe-l’oeil effects, fragmented graphics, and rhythmic patterns are translated into layered surfaces, where refined materials heighten depth and visual intrigue.

Handcrafted using Himalayan wool, merino, and silk, each piece captures the tonal richness and optical play that define Fornasetti’s Milanese legacy. The collection spans a wide range of artisanal techniques, from intricate Tibetan hand-knotting to hand-embroidered tapestries produced in Uttar Pradesh, alongside hand-loomed works. Scaled from monumental carpets to smaller textile pieces, the designs move beyond utility into the realm of collectible objects.
