Five Decades of Craftsmanship, Material Research, and Evolving Italian Design
Half a century is more than a milestone—it reflects a design journey shaped by craftsmanship, materials, and a clear vision. In 2026, Cantori celebrates its 50th anniversary, marking an enduring legacy of Italian design rooted in artisanal expertise while continuing to evolve with contemporary living.

Founded in 1976 in Camerano, in Italy’s Marche region, by Sante Cantori, the company emerged from a territory long known for its metalworking tradition. Within this context, Cantori developed a design philosophy grounded in precision, material knowledge, and a refined balance between function and beauty.

The brand’s earliest creations—handcrafted brass beds—laid the foundation for what would gradually become a broader interior vision. Over time, Cantori expanded its vision into complete home collections, including furniture systems and accessories conceived as part of a cohesive interior language rather than standalone pieces. Across these pieces, metal, wood, fabrics, and refined finishes interact through careful proportions and meticulous detailing.

A defining aspect of Cantori’s evolution is its ability to translate craftsmanship into a contemporary design language. Traditional manual techniques remain central, yet they are continuously enriched through industrial innovation and material experimentation. Over the years, collaborations with internationally recognized designers have further expanded the brand’s creative scope while reinforcing its distinctive identity.

Today, the company is led by the second generation of the family, Federica and Marco Cantori, who continue the founder’s vision while guiding the brand through the evolving landscape of global design.

Beyond residential interiors, Cantori’s expertise extends to hospitality, contract, and bespoke projects developed alongside architects and designers. The company also brings more than 25 years of experience in the yachting sector—a highly specialized field where technical precision and refined material knowledge are essential.

Strengthening its dialogue with the design community, Cantori launched the first edition of the Cantori Design Challenge in 2025, a nautical design competition organized in collaboration with Cantiere delle Marche. The initiative invited ten internationally renowned architectural studios to reinterpret the interiors of a Flexplorer 146 yacht, opening the field of yacht design to cross-disciplinary perspectives.

As Cantori marks its 50th anniversary, the milestone reflects a legacy shaped by craftsmanship, design culture, and an enduring commitment to materials—an approach that continues to define the brand’s refined furniture collections today.
