Where Light Meets Rustic Warmth

Tucked into the rolling hills of Volta Mantovana, overlooking the tranquil Mincio Valley, Palazzetto Acqualunga is a private country home where contemporary rustic architecture meets the natural warmth of wood. Sunlight filters through the windows, catching the rich grains of beams, doors, and parquet floors, casting a quiet, inviting glow—a retreat from the rhythm of modern life.

In the stairwell, this warmth reaches its most poetic expression. A custom Pòta! suspension lamp by Catellani & Smith stretches gracefully along the vertical path, guiding the eye between levels and bathing every wooden surface in soft, even light. Beams, handrails, and doorways subtly shimmer, turning a simple passage through the home into a gentle, immersive experience.

Rising 650 cm, the installation features two Pòta! fixtures, each 50 cm in diameter, and concludes with a Spot Light that balances the composition. A bespoke cylindrical base accommodates the ceiling’s incline, while the brass spheroidal structure houses 18 handcrafted light units, blending traditional craftsmanship with modern LED filament technology—a graceful interplay of precision and organic imperfection.
