Design, Materiality, and Time in Quiet Conversation

What if a showroom was no longer a place you simply pass through, but somewhere you could stay—returning again and again as the space slowly reveals itself?

From February 3 to June 2, 2026, Swedish design studio Form Us With Love (FUWL) presents Testing Grounds x Showroom? at their Stockholm studio on Norr Mälarstrand 58. Expanding beyond its familiar annual format, the platform unfolds as a four-month temporary showroom and living environment, inviting design to be experienced not as display, but as part of everyday life.

The extended format arrives as a response to Stockholm Design Week and Stockholm Furniture Fair shifting to a bi-annual rhythm. Rather than compressing ideas into a single moment, FUWL propose a slower approach—allowing design to emerge through use, repetition, and time.

Founded in 2005 by Jonas Pettersson and John Löfgren, Form Us With Love have long explored the relationship between design and the way people live. In Testing Grounds x Showroom?, this philosophy takes on physical form. The space feels intentionally lived-in—part studio, part workplace, part social setting—where thinking, making, and gathering happen naturally.

Throughout the showroom, collaborations are integrated into zones for work, process, and conversation—allowing products to be experienced in use rather than observed in isolation.

FUWL × BAUX
Designed in collaboration with BAUX, X-FELT Floating introduces a new generation of acoustic elements that quietly shape the space. Made from X-FELT, a premium board crafted from PET fibres, the baffles, grids, and floating panels help define zones and soften sound—forming an integral part of the overall spatial concept.

FUWL × BYBORRE
Launching during Testing Grounds x Showroom?, Form Us With Love present a new textile collection created with Dutch textile innovator BYBORRE. Developed through advanced technical knitting, the performance-driven, three-dimensional textiles balance technology, creativity, and ethical transparency—designed to be experienced over time.

Additional collaborations with String Furniture, Tarkett, Forming Function, and Savo complete the environment, grounding the space in everyday functionality and blurring the boundaries between showroom, studio, and lived space.

Beyond the physical setting, Testing Grounds x Showroom? is accompanied by a curated programme of talks, workshops, and live events developed in collaboration with Playground. The programme explores themes ranging from colour accuracy in digital workflows to the role of sound, texture, and technology in communicating brand value—positioning the showroom itself as a space for reflection and exchange.

In an era shaped by speed and surface, Form Us With Love offer an alternative rhythm—one that invites visitors to slow down, linger, and experience design as something lived, felt, and quietly understood.
