Beauty Shaped Through Endurance

Presented at the InterContinental Jakarta, Pondok Indah on December 1, 2025, Studio 133 Biyan’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection, titled Reforged, unfolded as a meditation on identity and quiet strength. Set within an industrial-inspired environment of weathered zinc walls and raw textures, the runway mirrored the soul of the collection itself—beauty shaped through endurance.

Presented in paired and trio formations, the models reinforced the collection’s gender-fluid ethos—an echo of Studio 133 Biyan’s progressive spirit since the 1990s, now reinterpreted for a new generation.

Rooted in utilitarian codes, the collection showcased relaxed yet structured silhouettes: cocooning jackets, fluid jumpsuits, generous trousers, and layered tunics that blurred traditional gender distinctions. Function-driven design found harmony with refined craftsmanship, where twisted constructions, subtle embroidery, and whisper-soft beadwork became Biyan’s understated signature.

Materials such as denim, linen, cotton, nylon, and silk further reinforced the dialogue between strength and softness. The color story unfolded with poetic restraint. Industrial neutrals—dusty browns, greys, and muted earth tones—gradually gave way to blues, greens, reds, and denims, symbolizing transformation and renewal. Motifs of endangered fauna, flora, geometric forms, and painterly polkadots served as visual reminders of nature’s fragility and humanity’s responsibility.
