Blending Form, Function, and Comfort with Effortless Modernity

At Milano Design Week 2025, Paola Lenti unveiled the re-edition of Légère, an armchair and sofa originally designed by Angelo Mangiarotti and Chiara Pampo. The project, first conceived as a forward-looking exploration of upholstery, remains strikingly relevant today — blending form, function, and comfort with effortless modernity.

True to Paola Lenti’s ethos, the re-edition employs materials that reflect both innovation and sustainability. A solid oak frame, offered in natural or stained finishes, anchors the design, while a self-supporting textile shell in the brand’s exclusive Piqué fabric provides structural support. Simply placed cushions (fully removable)  complete the composition, giving Légère its distinctive balance of precision and informality.

For Paola Lenti, the revival is more than a reissue; it is a dialogue between memory and innovation.

“I found the combination of the frame and cushions strikingly modern for its time. It inspired me to reintroduce Légère in a textile version, capable of expressing, through our own language, a timeless sense of modernity.”Paola Lenti.
