Refined celebration of colors, textures and craftsmanship
Jakarta, July 30, 2025– designer Biyan Wanaatmadja presented his Spring–Summer 2026 collection at the Grand Ballroom of InterContinental Jakarta Pondok Indah, continuing his legacy as one of Indonesia’s most influential fashion voices. The show successfully drew a well-dressed crowd of fashion enthusiasts, clients, celebrities, and long-time admirers.

Titled “A Chromatic Reverie,” the collection was a refined exploration of colors, rich textures, craftsmanship, and feminine strength—signature elements that have defined Biyan’s aesthetic over the decades.

The silhouettes ranged from structured jackets and tailored pants to flowing gowns and sheer overlay dresses, often layered with intricate embellishments. Standout details included hand embroidery, beadwork, macramé, and subtle gold threading, reflecting the brand’s dedication to artisanal techniques. Fabrics like silk, taffeta, velvet, jacquard, and lace gave the pieces a tactile and luxurious feel.

One of the highlights of the show was Biyan’s continued reinterpretation of traditional Indonesian elements. Subtle nods to sarong-style draping, ‘beskap’, and ornamental brooches were reimagined for the contemporary wardrobe, offering a respectful yet forward-looking take on heritage.

While the overall tone of the show was elegant, there were moments of dramatic flair—particularly in the evening looks, where shimmering textures and bold silhouettes took center stage. The set design was minimal and elegant, allowing the clothes to speak for themselves.

With A Chromatic Reverie, Biyan once again proves his ability to evolve while staying true to his roots.
