Stone, reimagined as a collectible design object
Launching during Milan Design Week, ABI is a new design brand that merges Egypt’s ancient stone craftsmanship with Italian modernist sensibilities, producing collectible objects that are as sculptural as they are enduring.

With offices in Cairo and Milan, ABI is the product of a global collaboration led by Robin Abdalla of Marmonil Marble & Granite—Egypt’s leading stone supplier—and the Milan-based design studio NM3, known for its radical geometry and minimalism. Supporting them is a network of partners including Brun Fine Art, Simone Becchio, OZ SRL, and P:S, who guide communications and strategy.

Presented by Magran Living
Each ABI piece begins with locally sourced Egyptian materials—granite, marble, alabaster—and reflects a commitment to sustainability, cultural heritage, and design excellence. The brand invites international designers to reinterpret Egypt’s monumental legacy through contemporary forms, resulting in a debut collection that spans continents and epochs.

Unveiled at BKV Fine Art in Milan, the first collection features work by Nick Ross, Carsten in Der Elst, Klemens Schillinger, and NM3. Ross pays tribute to ancient Egyptian aesthetics using Aswan black granite; Elst plays with polished and raw finishes; Schillinger incorporates industrial straps into monolithic blocks; and NM3 explores the symbolism of circles in alabaster.

ABI will present the full collection this October in Cairo, completing a journey that connects past and present, craft and concept, permanence and progress.
