Fusion of Heritage Meets Innovation

For Milan Design Week 2025, Studio Lugo debuts the Anachron series at Alcova, hosted at Villa Bagatti Valsecchi from April 7-15. Designed by Doruk Kubilay, the collection draws from Anatolia’s deep-rooted heritage, reinterpreting ancient rituals through contemporary craftsmanship.

A Timeless Dialogue
Inspired by Anatolia’s agrarian history, Anachron bridges past and future. Wooden rods with steel bells sway overhead, echoing the rhythm of migrating herds. Shadows shift with the light, while modular pieces invite interaction—transforming ancient traditions into tactile, modern experiences.

The collection’s name, Anachron, stems from “anachronism,” reflecting a fusion of eras. Through minimalist forms infused with historical motifs, the series challenges how ancient wisdom can manifest in contemporary design.

Material Alchemy
Anachron’s eleven made-to-order pieces honor Anatolian craftsmanship:
Kutnu Fabric—A luminous textile, once adorning Ottoman palaces, now reimagined in upholstery.
Horsehair & Stainless Steel—An organic-industrial contrast, nodding to Anatolia’s equestrian traditions.
Roupala Tree Veneer—A warm, lacewood-patterned finish enhancing lighting and furniture.

Through Anachron, Studio Lugo distills centuries of craftsmanship into striking, modern heirlooms—where heritage and innovation meet.
