The Aura of Japanese Islands

Graphic Elements 3 by Armani/Casa channels the spirit of exploration, drawing inspiration from the mystique of Japan. The collection celebrates the islands’ lush natural beauty and timeless culture, bringing these elements to life through its patterns and textures. Precise, linear designs are elevated by diverse materials, innovative printing techniques, and luxurious tactile finishes. Traditional Japanese motifs, such as lacquered surfaces and origami-inspired geometries, are vividly rendered on the wallcoverings, infusing each piece with elegance and sophistication.

Graphic Elements 3 consists of 8 unique wallcoverings: Kyushu, Yakushima, Hokkaido, Honshu, Fukue, Miyako, Mikura and Rebun

Kyushu Wallcovering: A Tribute to Japan’s Cultural Birth Place
Kyushu, inspired by Japan’s cultural birthplace, recreates large enamelled tiles with a 3D effect. The metallized version uses 3D printing and silver foil for a satin finish with matte joints. The lacquer-effect version on non-woven gauze adds shine and highlights the grid pattern.

Yakushima Wallcovering: Nature’s Maze
Inspired by Yakushima’s dense forests, this wallcovering features wide, intertwining ribbons forming a maze-like design. Printed on non-woven gauze with matte backing, raised ink adds texture, while platinum, gold, and silver lamination on the relief enhances its luxurious, tactile appeal.

Hokkaido Wallcovering: Bold Geometry Meets Haute Couture
Hokkaido features macro-scale rhombuses inspired by Giorgio Armani Privé’s Spring-Summer 2023 collection. Metallic silver gauze printed on a textured non-woven base creates bold geometric patterns, while three-dimensional vertical lines evoke the threads of fine fabric. Enhanced transparency in select areas reveals reflective metallic foil, adding a refined, luminous touch.

Honshu Wallcovering: Origami Elegance
Inspired by Honshu’s rich traditions, this wallcovering reimagines origami with endless folded ribbons crossing the surface. The design, printed with matte relief inks, contrasts beautifully with a metallic silver gauze on a non-woven base, creating a striking interplay of texture and sheen.

Fukue Wallcovering: Versatile Elegance
With a textured surface mimicking loosely woven canvas, Fukue shines as a standalone feature or pairs seamlessly with other Graphic Elements 3 designs. Sharing the same metallic silver gauze on a non-woven base as Hokkaido and Honshu, it offers both style and cohesion.

Miyako Wallcovering: Subtle Striped Elegance
Miyako features horizontal stripes of varying thickness that gently blend into the background for a soft, refined look. The raffia-textured surface, set on silver foil, is printed with raised coloured lines finished in matte or gloss, creating dynamic light reflections.

Mikura Wallcovering: Bold Contrast
Mikura features striking horizontal stripes in contrasting colors. Its raffia-textured surface, set on silver foil, highlights matte raised stripes against a shiny background for a dramatic effect.

Rebun Wallcovering: Timeless Canneté Pattern
Rebun showcases vertical lines inspired by Giorgio Armani’s iconic canneté design. The raffia-textured surface, set on silver foil, features thin matte raised stripes, adding rhythm and elegance.
