New products launching at Salone del Mobile.Milano 2024
The latest Maruni Collection will be launched at Salone del Mobile.Milano from April 16-21, 2024. Located at Rho Fiera Hall 24, the exhibition space has been designed by art director Naoto Fukasawa with a focus on simplicity and minimalistic aesthetics. The elimination of unnecessary decorations emphasizes the furniture that comprises the collection, along with the relationship between individual elements.
Maruni Collection 2024 features new designs by Naoto Fukasawa, Jasper Morrison, and Cecilie Manz, who have worked closely with Maruni to develop furniture designed to invite communication in living spaces, public areas, and business settings alike. The lineup includes Naoto Fukasawa’s updated HIROSHIMA Sofa, revitalized with a modular design, enhanced cushioning, and subtle refinements, along with a new Open Shelf, designed as a functional companion to the sofa. A new Lightwood Sofa by Jasper Morrison and SHOTO, a versatile table series by Cecilie Manz, will be presented for the first time.
Each product represents the culmination of the work of designers at the forefront of their fields, brought to life through Maruni’s innovative techniques and traditional craftsmanship, nurtured since the company’s founding in 1928.
Featured Products
HIROSHIMA Sofa
Designer: Naoto Fukasawa
“The HIROSHIMA Sofa has been revitalized with a modular system. While maintaining its fundamental proportions, it now offers the flexibility to mix and match modules to suit individual lifestyles and spaces” — Naoto Fukasawa —
The revitalized HIROSHIMA Sofa features a range of design updates including the addition of corner modules, which allow for a wider variety of layouts. Enhancements to the back and seat cushioning add an extra layer of comfort, while the redesigned sofa leg and accessories contribute to the sofa’s graceful evolution. The modular system is available in two size options.
HIROSHIMA Open Shelf 210
Designer: Naoto Fukasawa
“This open shelf is designed to complement the HIROSHIMA Sofa, providing a space for items like water pitchers, books, flowers, and other small objects you may want to temporarily place or display freely. It adds pleasure and richness to the sofa-centered living space” — Naoto Fukasawa —
The HIROSHIMA Open Shelf is constructed from 21mm thick wood panels and possesses a unique, sculptural beauty, derived from the way its form follows the diagonal slope of the sofa’s back.

ST Table 240 (ceramic top) Low
Designer: Naoto Fukasawa
“The ceramic tabletop, with a pattern reminiscent of Nero Marquina marble, evokes the elegance of natural materials” — Naoto Fukasawa —
Designed for the ST Series of tables, the Castellano-made tabletop comes to life with a harmonious blend of high-quality materials and luxurious design, giving rise to a bold yet delicate aesthetic. Resistant to scratches and stains, the matte finish provides enhanced functionality.
SHOTO Table Collection
Designer: Cecilie Manz
“The name of the collection refers to the ‘archipelago’ one often creates in the living area; islands of furniture that work together in creating a nice atmosphere” — Cecilie Manz —
Building on this reference, SHOTO (meaning “archipelago” in Japanese) is designed with various arrangements in mind and includes low, all-wood tables and lighter, casual tables with a metal base. Also featured is the compact Tray Table, designed to provide a small, elevated surface to meet a range of needs, whether it be keeping bags off the floor or placing a cup of coffee. The oval tabletops are detailed with precision: smooth transitions from soft curves to straight lines frame the architecture of the table, creating a tray-like surface.
Lightwood Sofa
Designer: Jasper Morrison
A new wooden frame sofa has been added to the Lightwood series. The sleek and lightweight wooden frame, the common language of the series, and the cushioned comfort will enrich your daily life. Furthermore, the modular wooden frame design allows for easy disassembly, minimizing energy consumption during transportation, making this sofa environmentally friendly.
