Srisasanti Syndicate was established 30 years ago by St. Eddy Prakoso under the name Galeri Koong in Jakarta in 1994. The gallery survived the political and social crisis between 1994 – 1999 that marked the end of the Indonesian New Order regime. In 2000, St. Eddy Prakoso relocated to Yogyakarta and renamed the gallery Srisasanti Gallery—after his mother, Mariana Srisasanti.
