Hotel Voyeur: Tracy Snelling x Seletti
Seletti is poised to return to Milan Design Week 2025 with “Hotel Voyeur,” its groundbreaking collaboration with American artist Tracey Snelling. This innovative project presents a table lamp that captures the essence of a hotel façade, featuring six windows, each showcasing a screen that plays enchanting short looping videos. Visitors will have the unique opportunity to customize the lamp with their videos, infusing it with a personal touch.
Snelling’s exploration of voyeurism, architecture, and the nuances of human interaction within public and private spaces resonates deeply. Seletti, known for its playful engagement with irony and art, transforms everyday objects into visual narratives that inspire and evoke wonder. “Hotel Voyeur” encapsulates this vision, illuminating fragments of daily life through its captivating windows, merging cinematic artistry with genuine moments.
This collaboration between Tracey Snelling and Seletti exemplifies the harmonious blend of art and design, making profound artistic concepts accessible and turning them into cherished everyday objects. This partnership continues Seletti’s esteemed legacy of artistic alliances, including its work with Toiletpaper, the innovative magazine by Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari, as well as notable collaborations with artists like Tatiana Brodatch and Studio Job, and photographer Lady Tarin. The mission is clear: to weave artistic narratives into functional design and share compelling visual experiences with a broader audience.

During Milan Design Week, visitors will have the chance to craft a personalized version of the lamp at the Seletti store at Corso Garibaldi 117, where a unique setup will reflect the video’s environment. This interaction invites guests to step into the artwork and become active participants in their own stories. Videos captured with the exceptional Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra smartphone will be projected onto the store’s façade, allowing anyone interested to personalize their lamp and order it directly in-store.
The project expands further with a site-specific installation at Corso Garibaldi 117, turning the “Hotel Voyeur” concept into an immersive experience. This installation elegantly translates the lamp’s design into architecture, recreating a hotel façade where illuminated windows display the same striking videos featured in the lamp, thanks to Samsung’s Lifestyle The Frame 4K TVs.
As visitors enter Seletti’s secret garden, they will discover an unexpected haven dedicated to taste and togetherness, curated by the esteemed coffee brand Moak. The Voyeur Café will offer a thoughtfully designed space that promises an immersive and refined experience, where the true star is Moak Coffee.
Among the latest inspirations from Seletti at Milan Design Week 2025 is “Superfurniture,” a project that breathes fresh ideas into the furniture realm, accompanied by new lamps, decorative pieces, and accessories. Each creation reimagined through Seletti’s signature blend of irony and visionary design, invites visitors to embark on a journey of creativity and innovation—transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary and telling unique stories along the way.
