Poltrona Frau and Fornasetti extend their collaboration with the re-edition of two iconic pieces: the 1919 armchair and the Isidoro trunk-bar, both upholstered in Pelle Frau® ColorSphere® Impact Less leather featuring Fornasetti’s Ultime Notizie pattern. These statement pieces will be part of the 2025 Five Seasons Collection and added to the Poltrona Frau catalogue.

1919 armchair

Following the success of the 2024 Vanity Fair XC Imagine Edition, this collaboration continues with the 1919 armchair, a capitonné leather bergère designed by Renzo Frau, and the Isidoro trunk-bar, originally created by Jean-Marie Massaud in 2007, reflecting the elegance of the Roaring Twenties.

The Ultime Notizie motif, first designed by Piero Fornasetti in 1950, features a trompe-l’œil of multilingual news clippings and butterflies, reimagined by Barnaba Fornasetti in 2003. This design is now seamlessly integrated into both re-editions, reinforcing Fornasetti’s vision: “Don’t dwell on the news, because the news is fleeting.”
