Flavors of the Archipelago Crafted into Every Bite

For the first time, a collection of 12 pralines celebrates the rich flavors of Indonesia — from Rendang and Bika Ambon to Ruby Kecombrang, Kenari, Colo-Colo, and Jeruk Rimba — representing the culinary heritage of Sumatra and Papua. This cross-disciplinary collaboration between Sejauh Mata Memandang and KAKAW Fine Chocolate is crafted entirely with Indonesian ingredients, including cacao sourced from Sumatra and Papua

This creative force is to honor Indonesia’s 80th Independence Day with an edible journey across the archipelago.

The collaboration introduces a limited-edition praline collection, each piece infused with flavors that capture the soul of Indonesia—from the fiery zest of Sumatra’s rendang to the bright tang of Papua’s wild jeruk rimba. Wrapped in Sejauh Mata Memandang’s signature Bunga Laut motif, the chocolates embody both a celebration of local heritage and a reminder of the seas that connect the islands.

Highlights include Kenari nut pralines from Maluku–Papua, Wamena Arabica coffee, torch ginger blossoms, and even a bold chocolate interpretation of Bika Ambon. The collection reflects a shared commitment to preserving Indonesia’s cultural and natural wealth, while proving that food and design can harmonize to tell powerful stories.

Available from 17 August 2025 in limited quantities at KAKAW Fine Chocolate & Patisserie, ASHTA District 8, and online. This Independence Day edition comes in boxes of 12 (IDR 300,000++) or paired with a Bunga Laut bandana (IDR 600,000++).
