Bringing Parisian elegance, all-day dining, and refined comptoir culture to Jakarta

Imagine stepping into a classic Parisian brasserie — the gentle clatter of glasses, marble counters lined with pastries, warm lighting, and the effortless rhythm of all-day dining. That is precisely the atmosphere Le Comptoir – Quartier brings to Jakarta with its newly opened address at Plaza Indonesia.

The new brasserie introduces a refined interpretation of timeless French dining culture, rooted in product integrity, understated elegance, and the art of executing simple things exceptionally well. Conceived as an all-day destination, Le Comptoir Quartier channels the enduring charm of traditional European brasseries — lively yet polished spaces where exceptional food, conversation, and conviviality naturally unfold from morning until late evening.

The restaurant’s identity revolves around three distinct comptoirs, each serving as both functional centerpiece and visual theatre. At the entrance, the Comptoir de Café & Pâtisserie immediately sets the tone with elegant displays of cakes, pâtisserie, minute-made desserts, and delicate sweets accompanied by house coffees and specialty teas. Further inside, the Comptoir de Cuisine showcases prime seasonal ingredients sourced from international markets, reinforcing the restaurant’s transparent, product-driven approach. Meanwhile, the Cocktail & Specialty Comptoir offers a more intimate experience dedicated to cocktails, charcuterie, cheeses, terrines, and refined beverage preparations executed in full view of guests.

The interiors reflect the same sensibility: quietly sophisticated and warm. Inspired by the enduring charm of classic European brasseries and the character of Le Quartier Gunawarman, the restaurant unfolds through a series of naturally flowing spaces designed for different rhythms of dining throughout the day.

A Summer Terrace facing the street evokes the easy elegance of Parisian sidewalk cafés, inviting guests for morning coffee, afternoon aperitifs, or relaxed evening dining. Inside, the atmosphere transitions into a more intimate Salon de Café before opening into the lively main Dining Room anchored by the open kitchen. Two private dining rooms cater to business lunches and intimate social gatherings, while a discreet Smoking Terrace completes the spatial composition.

Speaking about the menu, starters range from delicate Shrimp Croquettes, Saumon Façon Balik to richer creations like Fondue Parmesan or delicius duck prosciutto. The menu also embraces a more convivial spirit through signatures such as the Ailolade Pizza and Honied Duck Confit Pizza, alongside comforting handmade pastas including Sourdough Cavatelli with shredded short rib and the classic Raviole du Dauphiné.

For mains, highlights include Coral Snapper from the Arafura Sea, slow-braised Joues de Bœuf Braisées, and the theatrical Contre Fillet Flambé. Desserts continue the refined yet familiar approach with BlackBerry Charlotte, Tiramisu au Rum, Monte à la Minute, Chocolate Baileys, and Princess Cake completing the experience on an indulgent note.

Open daily from 10 AM until closing, with last seating at 10 PM, Le Comptoir Quartier arrives as a new culinary address where the spirit of the traditional French–Central European brasserie is reimagined for contemporary Jakarta — energetic, elegant, and designed to be enjoyed across every hour of the day.
