Following the success of the 2023 exhibition, Potocco will again participate in Maison&Objet, a major furniture and decoration industry event that will be held January 18-22, 2024 in Paris.
CLUE – Design Chiara Andreatti
The brand chose the Paris Fair as a stage in which to present some important new products to the public for the first time: the expansion of the Cut range into a complete outdoor seating collection, along with an armchair in the Jade range and two new versions of the Minima chair.
Designed by Chiara Andreatti, the stand highlights the products and collections through simple, regular volumes, alternating full and empty spaces to play with depth and height, as in a theatrical set design. The neutral palette and essential character of the fit-out become the perfect backdrop to enhance the refined design, bright colors, materials, and craftsmanship so characteristic of Potocco’s signature furnishings. The space is divided into different areas thanks to platforms and a series of dividing walls with different heights. The result is four Potocco signature living proposals designed for the living, dining, and relaxation area, where indoor and outdoor spaces harmoniously and seamlessly dialogue.
CUT Collection – Design Stephan Veit
Stephan Veit’s Cut range is prominently featured as the protagonist of an important, recently expanded collection, presented to the public for the very first time at the Paris Fair.
Envisioned and designed to create a series of enveloping-yet-light, minimal seatings, Cut was created as a bergère and footrest for indoor and outdoor use. Offered in a leather and fabric version for interiors and a woven version for outdoors, the line features a contemporary, elegant design.
JADE Collection – Design Hanne Willmann
Presented by Melandas Indonesia
In its outdoor version, Cut complements the bergère with footrest with a new armchair, stool and chair tracing the same essential profile. The collection takes shape from a steel rod frame that draws the harmonious, long-lined silhouette of legs and seat, with a hand-woven shell. The weaving workmanship – a symbol of Potocco’s historic know-how – embraces the soft contrasting seat cushion, with the differences in color emphasizing the handcrafted artisanal details.
The second major new product is an addition to Potocco’s offering for indoors: the Jade armchair by Hanne Willmann, adding to the modularity of the Jade collection. Introduced last year and consisting of a sofa and side table system, Jade features sinuous profiles and soft, organic shapes that harken back to nature. The new armchair is an ideal addition to the modular collection with 9 sofa modules and 2 coffee tables, suited to different uses and locations among the elements of the compositions or in front of the sofa. The modules can be used individually or combined, creating ever-changing, fluid islands of comfort that adapt to spaces and situations. The upholstery of the seat rests on an invisible frame, creating a seemingly floating, light structure.
The coffee tables with marble tops are available in two sizes; they are designed to be inserted between modules or in the center of a composition, adding a sculptural accent of extreme sophistication.
MINIMA Collection – Design Mario Ferrarini
The new interior design products also include the Minima collection, offered in two brand new variants. Designed by Mario Ferrarini and presented at the last Salone del Mobile (Milan Furniture Fair), Minima is offered in two new versions at the Paris Fair. Alongside the first made entirely of wood, Potocco expands the collection by offering two different alternatives for the seat: the first in Vienna straw and a second upholstered version.
The two new seat options complement the proposed wood finishes and wide color palette available, multiplying the collection’s possible customizations: a perfect solution for different styles and environments. The chair is also easily stackable, making it an ideal choice within large contract projects. Conceived to be a cozy yet sturdy object with flowing, energetic lines, Minima is comforting with its precise and punctual vision, distinguished by its unique details and meticulous profile. The plywood seat and backrest develop harmoniously cradled by the solid ash legs, which curve elegantly, elevating the play of light and epitomizing Potocco’s woodworking finesse.
GRAPHIC Collection – Design Mario Ferrarini + Victor Vasilev
The mise en scene also includes a selection of the latest additions of 2023, such as the indoor and outdoor Graphic collection designed by Mario Ferrarini and Victor Vasilev, with a table, benches, and side tables.
The company also offers some of its best sellers, such as the upholstered Lena tub armchair, as well as complements with a particularly refined and precious character, such as the Arial console table in burnished brass and Biscuit-brown ash, both designed by Gabriele & Oscar Buratti.
OLA – Design Radici Orlandini
In keeping with the indoor products, the outdoor proposals chosen for Maison&Objet include warm elements such as Chiara Andreatti’s Clue rug and Radice & Orlandini’s Ola chairs with “Fly” hand-woven ribbon, highlighting the strong artisanal component within the brand’s workmanship.
The new participation in Maison&Objet is part of the company’s strategy to strengthen ties with international markets. An emblem of Made in Italy production with over 100 years of history behind it, Potocco has managed to create an international network over the years, giving its name to residential projects, hotels, restaurants and important public spaces all over the world.
