Unveiling three new creations — Axis, Nigelle, and ILletto Outdoor

At Milano Design Week 2025 and Salone del Mobile, Opinion Ciatti reaffirmed its reputation for intuitive, expressive design with “Timeless by Nature” — a collection that blurs the boundaries between craftsmanship, innovation, and the quiet power of natural beauty.

Presented through three new creations — Axis, Nigelle, and ILletto Outdoor — the collection embodies a conversation between time and transformation, where materials evolve but essence endures.

Axis, first conceived in 1985 by Bruno Pozzi and Marco Duina, returns under Lapo Ciatti’s creative direction as a modular system reborn. Its bridge-style frame and fluid geometry, refined with Corkcrete, a cork-based eco mortar, merge durability with design purity — an evolution that seamlessly transitions from kitchen to outdoor living.

With Nigelle, designers Maurizio Galante and Tal Lancman reinterpret the ethereal beauty of Renaissance lacework into contemporary steel seating. The intricate perforations recall 15th-century Tuscan artistry, while eco-friendly coatings and recycled cushions make it both sustainable and sensuous — a dialogue between lightness, function, and history.

Completing the trilogy, ILletto Outdoor transforms Lapo Ciatti’s 2017 canopy bed into a serene retreat for the open air. Cloaked in soft curtains and crafted in Corkcrete, it becomes an ode to slow living — where rest itself becomes design.

Sustainability remains the quiet heart of Opinion Ciatti’s philosophy. The company once again constructed its Milan stand using recyclable, eco-friendly panels, and showcased Corkcrete’s versatility across Axis and ILletto — proof that responsibility can be both tactile and beautiful.

Extending its narrative beyond the fairgrounds, “Timeless by Nature” was also featured in RoCollectible, the curated exhibition by Rossana and Nicoletta Orlandi, where Opinion Ciatti’s vision resonated among today’s most compelling voices in contemporary design.
