The Centerpiece of the Living Room

Each season, Roche Bobois turns the living room into a stage for creativity. For 2025/2026, the sofa becomes more than a piece of furniture: it’s an object of comfort, expression, and dialogue between designers and artists.

LOUNGE PEDRO ALMODaVAR EL DESEO (Designed by Hans Hopfer)

This year, the brand unveils an exceptional collaboration with film director Pedro Almodóvar, whose vibrant universe of colours and emotions has inspired a series of exclusive pieces.

“Colour is a language, a signature, an emotion.” Pedro Almodóvar

At the heart of this encounter is the iconic Lounge sofa by Hans Hopfer, reissued and upholstered with images selected by the filmmaker from his own movie posters. Between graphic art and design, it’s a statement piece produced in a limited edition of 50 numbered and signed examples.

LOUNGE PEDRO ALMODÓVAR EL DESEO (Designed by Hans Hopfer)
Imagine a sofa as a canvas. This one is composed of nine Lounge modules, each dressed in fabrics from the “Collection El Deseo” — patterns that Pedro Almodóvar himself created for Roche Bobois, drawn from the posters of his films. Softly padded and hand-tufted, the modules rest on crisp white-lacquered platforms. Only fifty of these statement pieces exist, each one numbered and ready to bring a touch of cinematic colour into a living space.

The LOUNGE sofa by Hans Hopfer is a playful modular design. Soft plain Smile fabric mixes with Pedro Almodóvar’s vibrant “El Deseo” Collection for Roche Bobois, echoing the mood of his film posters. Its generous cushions and mix-and-match backrests let you create endless shapes. Each piece is padded and tufted for easy, relaxed style.

Tapis VOLVER
Hand-tufted in pure New Zealand wool, its border cut to follow a floral motif. A tactile homage to Almodóvar’s exuberant visuals, meant to be walked on, lounged on, lived with.

RONDO 2 MUJERES China Unit
A bold conversation piece: a four-door sideboard in lacquered MDF, its glossy printed façades drawn from the director’s own film posters. Curved black-chromed steel legs lift it lightly off the floor, as if the images could take flight.

Bubble Sofa – Almodóvar Edition (Design by Sacha Lakic)
Designed by Sacha Lakic, the BUBBLE sofa is all soft curves and cosy comfort. Here it’s dressed in Pedro Almodóvar’s lively “El Deseo” fabrics for Roche Bobois, turning a playful shape into a burst of colour and character. It’s a sofa that feels joyful, welcoming and a little cinematic — design made to be lived in.

Talons Aiguilles Cushion
A small piece of cinematic couture: square velvet printed and embroidered with a motif from Almodóvar’s universe. Colour on the front, soft touch all over, a quick way to drop a hint of drama onto a sofa or bed.
