Bishop — a name that immediately conveys strength and presence — lives up to it. Designed by Konstantin Grcic, the chair stands tall with a vertical posture that radiates stability and understated elegance.

Crafted from a 1 mm steel sheet, each Bishop is laser-cut, bent, and welded into a solid yet refined structure, available in a variety of colors. The design is simple, almost archetypal: four legs, a seat, and a back — each detail meticulously considered. Its glossy finish reflects light, highlighting clean geometry and giving Bishop a subtle aura of luminosity.

Steel may not be the obvious choice for a chair, but its elasticity, precision, and malleability offer enormous design potential. Over time, Bishop develops a natural patina, aging gracefully while maintaining bold, timeless appeal.

“I wanted to create a chair that would be instantly recognisable, but that would also reveal the details of its material and its production process. It was these qualities that attracted me to the project,” says Grcic.
