The Opening Of The Fine Dining Dav By Da Vittorio Louis Vuitton & Da Vittorio Café Louis Vuitton

Louis Vuitton unveils a bold new vision with the reopening of its historic flagship at Via Montenapoleone 2. The building has been completely renovated, and the store has undergone an architectural revolution.

Following a meticulous three-year restoration, the late neoclassical Palazzo Taverna reemerges as a refined destination where heritage, design, and lifestyle converge. Architect Peter Marino has reimagined the space with quiet grandeur, honoring Milanese tradition through locally sourced stone, artisanal finishes, and subtle nods to Piero Portaluppi’s Villa Necchi Campiglio. The transformation undeniably speaks a harmonious blend of heritage and contemporary refinement.

STORE VISUAL

A parchment-clad staircase, detailed with the Maison’s Damier motif, leads to art-filled interiors featuring works by Mimmo Paladino, Carla Accardi, and Peter Halley, alongside collectible design pieces from Gio Ponti and Angelo Mangiarotti.

A highlight of the new flagship is the debut of Louis Vuitton’s first Italian culinary collaboration with the renowned Da Vittorio family. Nestled in the courtyard, Da Vittorio Café Louis Vuitton evokes a glass-covered jardin d’hiver, surrounded by lush botanicals and mosaic stonework by Martin Kline. The menu celebrates “luxury snacking” with creations like king crab gaufrettes, caviar-topped eggs, and signature desserts.

HOME COLLECTIONS ROOM

Next door, DaV by Da Vittorio Louis Vuitton on Via Bagutta offers a contemporary take on Italian fine dining. Framed by iroko wood panels engraved with Vuitton’s iconic grain and adorned with playful artworks, the space brings together joyful modernity and deep-rooted culinary craft. From Monogram-shaped saffron risotto to seasonal paccheri, each dish reflects the artistry of local ingredients.

CAFE DISHES

On the second floor, the newly launched Louis Vuitton Home Collections find their home: from the Signature Collection of furniture and lighting to Objets Nomades, Decoration, Art de la Table, and Exceptional Games. A reimagined dining room from the House’s historic Asnières residence offers a poetic link to its founding legacy. Milan is the first Louis Vuitton store to have an entire floor – the second floor – completely dedicated to design.

Beneath the courtyard, a menswear space in the barrel vaulting rooms preserves the 19th-century foundations, where restored brickwork forms the backdrop to contemporary fashion.
